literally carried me through those awful first months of grief. Her treatments initiated healing physically, spiritually
and emotionally and when I was well enough, she encouraged me to branch out into yoga. She is a true healer!
- Helen W, Stanwood,
about her hands! They are strong and magical. Every other week I look forward to her massage. She asks me how I feel. Nobody
ever asked me that before. She’s a tiny person but she’s filled with lots of love. One more thing…she knows
what to do even though I don’t know to ask her to do it, because of my stroke.
- Moher D., San Francisco,
has a distinctive and special intuition that is beyond time and space. Her steadfast and fastidious strength together
with her extraordinary generosity make us feel so fortunate being her friend. To her patients, she is a jewel, a family, a
dear friend and most of all---a great blessing!

I had a painful tumor on the top of my foot
that my Podiatrist wanted to remove. I really didn't want to have to be off my feet from surgery and the tumor
she said was mixed in with nerves and in a tricky spot to get at. I told Julia about it and she said well, let me try
putting some needles in it. I agreed, because what did I have to lose anyway, but not having a surgery. Within
about 3 treatments the tumor was gone. I'm so grateful to Julia for her healing powers and wisdom! Thanks,
suffered from alopecia for years. Severe depression can sometimes cause a chunk of my hair to fall out overnight.
Western medicine only offered me steroid injections which I declined. Acupuncture will bring my hair loss back with
one or two treatments. I am forever thankful for Julia's professional and kind treatment!

is a gifted acupuncturist and massage therapist. She has successfully treated me for back and neck pain as well as for alopecia.
Prior to seeking acupuncture for my alopecia, I had seen a dermatologist, whose treatment consisted of a series of cortisone
shots every six weeks for several months. Julia treated the alopecia, and my hair began to grow back without my having to
take steroids (cortisone). I am so thankful.
Ms. Julia Raneri is an extraordinary practitioner and a lovely individual. Her professionalism and
her honed skill are what set her apart.
As a client/patient, one has the exact sense that Ms Raneri is listening -- she is reading the visual and
bodily cues as well as engaging in an open ended exploration of health through verbal dialogue.
Ms. Raneri's work, it is impossible not to say that she is a gifted massage therapist -- the body feels heard as
she applies deep pressure where it seems to need it most. She adapts her technique to one's particular needs altering
her approach to achieve the desired effect.
Ms. Raneri has fine tuned her practice in a way that offers the directed benefits of both massage and acupuncture.
The relaxation, bodily relief, and contentment achieved through this combined practice is without parallel. I recommend
her to new clients without hesitation.
One of the things I admire most
about Ms. Raneri is her gratitude. She always credits those who have taught her and enabled her to obtain the considerable
knowledge that she possesses. In terms of style of practice, I would be remiss if I did not mention Ms. Raneri's sense
of humor, she has a subtle and sweet way of gaining entry and delivering insight while delighting the listener.
is generous in her practice. She is understanding when her clients are strained financially, and offers a sliding scale system
of payment. Her principles are consistent -- not only is she responsive at an interpersonal level but she has also lent her
expertise in times of national crisis. When New Orleans was devastated by hurricane, she joined other practitioners in
Acupuncturists Without Borders to deliver services both to resident survivors and to emergency relief workers. Her
generosity in spending 9 weeks of uncompensated time in this disaster area is more than commendable. Today, Ms.
Raneri is both a supervisor and instructor for this exemplary organization.
-Amy Donovan, San Francisco,
Raneri is a very intuitive, skilled, professional massage therapist. Her work is excellent.

treatments were crucial to the speedy and thorough healing of my frozen shoulder. After one treatment I had increased range
of motion. After two treatments I had a reduction of the excruciating pain. After three treatments I started to sleep better.
After a few more treatments I was able to stop taking the hard-core anti-inflammatory medication my orthopedist had prescribed.
My physical therapist and my orthopedist were blown away by the speed of my recovery. I couldn't have done it without
I have had the opportunity to teach with Julia Raneri, and her depth and breadth
related to Oriental medicine is second to none. She has traveled nationally and internationally as a representative for Acupuncturists
Without Borders and is well versed in the NADA protocol.
